Twice in a row he was best scorer of the Croatian championship in 91/92 and 92/93 season (23 and 20 goals). He is very ingenuous in every situation. Began his career at Osijek with Suker from 89-91, like Suker, transferred from Osijek to Dinamo Zagreb in 91. In 94 he left Croatia to play for Padova. He left Italy to join Spanish side Valencia in 96. He was member of the Croatian National Team at the Euro '96 in England and WC '98 in France. Especially is memorable his goal, for 1:0 victory against Turkey, in the croatian national team first ever played match at big competitions Euro '96.
