DC United & El Salvador Birthdate: February 1, 1970 Birthplace: San Miguel, El Salvador Height: 179 cms Weight: 72 kgs Position: Forward International: 52 caps, 27 goals (as of June 13, 2000) World Cups: 0 Previous Clubs: Dragon, Luis Angel Firpo, Jalapa, New England Revolution, San Jose Clash, Tampa Bay Mutiny Transfer Fee: - The second-most prolific goal-scorer (points and goals) in MLS entering the 2000 season, Diaz Arce's acquisition immediately paid offensive dividends for the Mutiny. Having scored only four goals with two assists for San Jose in 18 games prior to his July 19 trade to Tampa Bay, Diaz Arce exploded with nine goals and five assists in only 13 games with the Mutiny. He also propelled a team that had scored only 21 goals in its first 17 games to 24 tallies in the 13 he started for the club. The only player to score four goals in an MLS game - he's done it twice - looks to reclaim his former number one spot in all-time MLS goals (Roy Lassiter leads 73-69) and points (Lassiter leads 171-161) in 2000. His 13 goals in 1999 were the fewest in his MLS career.
