He was bought by Atalanta, where he succeeded to show all his best: Top-Scorer with 24 goals, reaching Platini's record to score against each team in the Serie A. For the 1997-98 season, his dreams come true. He was bought by Juventus management. Superpippo, as he is called, arrived from a city where Juventus is followed a lot. When he was still a kid, his parents wanted him to play as goal keeper, and he obeyed them. But, one fine day, his instint made him play as attacker and began scoring numerous goals. He is a humile playery, but sure of himself and his self capacities. Surely, he is one of the best young players, italian soccer can offer. At Juventus, everyone expects a lot from him. He already gave a demonstration of his talents. He is very able in getting unmarked and is very opportunist. He is considered a remake of Paolo Rossi, but he dislikes these comparisons. Together with Del Piero, they are the most representative duo of the new "Italian Boys".
